Tower of London

The Tower of London was founded in the 11th century. Since then it has been a fortress, the royal palace, a prison, a menagerie and a place of execution. Nowadays, the Tower is home to the famous Beefeater guards. The Beefeater guards the Tower, the Crown Jewels, and offer tours of the Tower. Visiting London you must see Traitors Gate on the River Thames, the White Tower and the Royal Armouries and the Tower’s ravens.
